The course takes place in a beautiful setting, high in the French Alps. This action packed week will provide you with a solid grounding in the medical skills required to work in a remote environment. You will be trekking in the Alpine flower meadows and jagged peaks by day, and enjoying alfresco dinners on midsummer evenings under the stars whilst learning a host of new skills with our inspiring team of instructors.
In order to deliver focused, hands-on training, the course is limited to a maximum number of participants. This will enable interactive teaching, tailored to individual needs, and small group work for scenarios and workshops.
Our faculty is made up of experienced expedition medics and leaders. Our medics have many years of experience providing medical cover for expeditions in extreme environments all over the world, including desert, jungle, altitude, arctic and dive medicine. Our expedition leaders and bushcraft instructors have worked in some of the most remote parts of the globe, and will be sure to inspire you with their survival and leadership skills.

We provide you with the knowledge and skills required to operate safely in any remote environment. Whether you plan to go on a personal adventure or work as an expedition medic this course is for you. Covering essential areas of medical practice, outdoor leadership skills and emergency procedures.
Our Expedition Medicine Course is designed to give you a strong foundation from, which you could manage common medical complaints and medical emergencies. In addition, our expedition leaders will give you a firm grounding in leadership, planning and organisation.
Training in the mountains
We believe in high fidelity training and simulating injuries whilst outdoors in a remote environment. Expect to be out everyday, medical kit on hand for all manner of injuries and incidents.

Teaching is highly interactive and delivered via mix of seminars, workshops and scenarios.
This is a largely practical course. We prefer to teach on our feet by getting people hands-on with the topic or equipment being discussed. In small groups, you will be involved in daily scenarios set amongst the beautiful mountain surroundings. These will include medical scenarios, during which you will be using all your skills to problem solve and improvise in a wilderness setting. As well as gaining knowledge of expedition medicine, this course will help to develop your situational awareness and improvisation skills outside the hospital or normal working environment.
