Dr rebecca inglis

Rebecca is an intensive care registrar from Oxford with an interest in critical care in a low resource setting. She is currently developing an intensive care training programme in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic for her PhD. After obtaining her Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in Liverpool she spent time overseas working for Médecins Sans Frontières in Myanmar and in South America making teaching videos about infectious diseases.

In 2015 she went to Sierra Leone to take part in an Ebola drug trial and she travels to Gaza every year to teach medical students about trauma management. She runs the malnutrition teaching on the East African DTM&H in Tanzania and Uganda. She has a particular interest in medical education and spent three years working as a Junior Research Fellow at New College, Oxford.

 

She is also part of the UK Emergency Medical Team, ready to deploy in case of large scale international emergencies.
