Having worked for the RNLI off the coast of North Norfolk for nearly 10 years Rob developed a passion for Pre-Hospital Medicine and Trauma care which led to him applying to study Medicine at the University of Bristol.

During his undergraduate studies he was awarded a Scholarship to study at the Institute of Pre-Hospital Care at London's Air Ambulance in 2015. He graduated with a 1st Class BSc in Pre-Hospital Medicine and a University Prize before going on to graduate as a Doctor from Bristol a year later.

 

Rob's passion lies in the pre-hospital environment with specific interests in trauma and hypothermia. He has spent time in the world's busiest Trauma Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa and has also flown with Norwegian HEMs teams in the Arctic Circle. Rob's more recent travels have taken him on a 6000km road trip through Southern Africa in addition to spending a month helping to run a small medical clinic on a remote tropical Island in Asia.

In his day job Rob currently works in East London as an Anaesthetic Trainee. In his free time he supports the Institute of Pre-Hospital Care as a Simulation Fellow and is undertaking an MSc in Pre-Hospital Medicine at QMUL.
